You can shift surface dirt, but domestic machines lack the power and flow rate for deep moss and black spot removal. The bigger risk is damage. Too much pressure on sandstone erodes the surface, and a direct jet nozzle blows out pointing. Our commercial equipment with surface-specific nozzles cleans deeper without the damage.

Once a year is enough for most patios. North-facing or shaded patios under trees may need cleaning every 6–12 months to stay on top of algae and moss. A spring clean before summer gets the most use out of your outdoor space.

Yes, we specialise in Indian sandstone restoration. We use low-pressure fan nozzles and surface-specific cleaning agents to lift algae and black spot without eroding the soft stone or disturbing pointing.

Black spots are lichen, a stubborn organism that bonds to the stone surface at a cellular level. Regular pressure washing alone won't remove it. We use specialist lichen treatments that break the bond and lift it cleanly.

We adjust pressure and nozzle type for each stone. If existing pointing is already loose or crumbling, we'll let you know before starting and can re-point as an add-on after cleaning.

Most patios take 2–4 hours. Larger areas or patios with heavy black spot may take longer due to treatment soak time.

Yes. Porcelain tiles are very durable and clean beautifully. We restore them to a showroom finish. We also clean the grout lines where algae tends to build up.

Recommended for natural stone like Indian sandstone, limestone, and York stone. Sealing protects against staining, enhances the natural colour, and slows algae regrowth. Not usually needed for porcelain.

Yes, we clean around furniture, planters, and garden features. If you can move lighter items beforehand it helps us cover more area, but we'll work around whatever's there.
