A room is £40, a staircase £40, and the hallway plus landing together count as one £30 area, with £60 the minimum visit. The number agreed at the start is the number on the day, locked for 14 days and paid after the clean.

Between 30 and 90 minutes before the carpet takes walking traffic, with the room back in use the same day. Wool and thick piles run slower.

The overwhelming majority do: food, drink, mud, pet accidents. Pet urine gets an enzyme treatment that dissolves the crystals the smell lives in, so the stain and the odour leave together.

Completely. The solutions are non-toxic and biodegradable, and extraction takes out the dust mites and allergens behind asthma and eczema flare-ups.

Leave it to us. Moving furniture is part of the job, and it all goes back afterwards; only wardrobes, loaded bookcases and beds stay put. A quick vacuum first helps but nobody expects it.

Only if you want to be. A key or lockbox works fine, and before and after photos reach you either way.

It will not. Low-moisture extraction, a hidden-patch test before anything else, and a method chosen for the fibre, wool through to synthetic. Anything not right gets re-cleaned free.

Most homes: every 12 to 18 months. Pets, small children or allergies bring that forward to 6–9 months, and stairs and hallways wear fastest of all.

Steam cleaning floods the fibres with hot water then recovers it, dirt and allergens included; dry cleaning relies on solvents with barely any moisture. Extraction reaches far deeper into the pile and carries most manufacturers' recommendation.

By a distance. Shampoo scrubs foam in and leaves a sticky residue that pulls in fresh dirt, which is exactly why we never use it. Extraction rinses and recovers instead.

Hired machines run cool, pull weakly and leave soil sitting in the pile. A truck-mounted clean works at over 150°C and recovers 95% of the water on the pass, which is why the results hold for months rather than weeks.
